Qualifications
You must be a registered voter within Collin County. You should be eligible to vote in the particular subdivision's election.
Example: Election Workers for the City of McKinney elections must reside within the City of McKinney. However, during County or State elections, a registered voter in McKinney can work at a polling place in Frisco.
Most elections pay $14 per hour to the Presiding Judge, and $13 per hour to the Presiding Alternate Judge and $12 per hour to the Clerks.
The Presiding Judge of the Precinct receives an additional $25 fee for pickup/delivery of the election supplies.

Volunteer Deputy Registrars are entrusted with the responsibility of officially registering voters in the State of Texas. They are appointed by county voter registrars and charged with helping increase voter registration in the state.

Process
Contact the Voter Registration Department during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to make an appointment for a brief training and to fill out an Application and Certificate of Appointment to become deputized. You will receive some voter registration applications and information to take with you. The whole process generally takes about 15 minutes.
Are you currently deputized in another Texas county? If so, you will not need to undergo additional training in Collin County. You will only need to provide your current Certificate of Appointment and complete the necessary paperwork to be certified in Collin County.
